A while back I was shopping with Karon in Houston. She was pulling outfits for me, and at one point she said something that stuck with me. She said, "We have options. We don't have to force anything. If you don't like it, no biggie. I'll pick something else. We'll keep going until you're happy." I told her I trusted her. Even if there were pieces I didn't love at first, I was still willing to try them because she's the expert. She knows fashion way better than I do. And because I trusted someone who actually knew what they were doing, I learned a lot. I learned how clothes are supposed to fit my body. I learned I'm not a large — I'm actually a medium. I learned I can wear a size 12 bottom depending on the cut. I learned that in many items I'm not an 18 or even a 16… I'm a 14. But I still keep going back to what she said that day: "We don't have to force anything." Side note: the outfit in the picture? I hated it the MOST when she first pulled it. But I trusted her and said, "I think this will be great on camera." She loved it immediately and could already see the vision. Lol, this is one of my favorite pictures.
